What are Forex Rebates?

Forex rebates refer to rebates or cash back provided by various companies that refer individuals that open live trading accounts with foreign exchange (forex) brokers.

Foreign exchange brokers pay to companies that refer them clients a commission (similar to a finder's fee) on every trade placed on a brokerage account opened through the links provided at the websites of these referring companies.

These referring companies in turn give part of the commissions they receive as cash back or rebate on every trade placed and closes (win or lose) to traders that open live trading accounts through the links provided on their websites (referred accounts). Note that, usually, forex rebates are not deposited into the trader's live trading account but transferred to the trader through various other means.

Note that the spreads/commissions are NOT increased for foreign exchange client accounts that are referred by these companies. These accounts enjoy the same spreads/commissions as non-referred trading accounts.

Forex rebates are provided as pips or dollar amount per standard round turn lot. A standard round turn lot transaction refers to a complete transaction including both buy and sell (entry and exit) of 100,000 units of the currency base.

Rebates vary depending on the company that provides them, the Forex broker with which a trader has an account, and sometimes the currency pair that is traded. For example cashbackforex.com provides, among others, a 0.45 pip rebate per round turn lot traded with Alpari UK account and a 0.7 pip rebate per round turn lot traded in FXDD of FXCM accounts.

We researched the internet for a couple of hours and came to the conclusion that cashbackforex.com provides perhaps the highest cash back on trades with the largest and most popular forex brokers.
