COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE MARKET
US Market Quarterly April 2007 Panamerica Real Estate Investors’ quarterly market report, issued in April 2007, concludes that liquidity in the real estate capital markets is still very accommodating, while US real estate investment trusts (REITs) continued to outperform equity markets in the first quarter of 2007. In the private real estate market property fundamentals remained healthy continuing to support rent growth. First quarter transaction activity continued at very high levels but large-scale deals have been an important part of this activity. Finally, the report points to the slowing economy and the risk that such trend implies for total investment returns given today’s low yields. See the full report.
